Online Test Booking

REGULAR IN-SESSION ASSESSMENT (up to and including the last day of class)

You will need to have the following information handy in order to successfully schedule your quiz/test/exam:

  1. The name of the course you want to schedule an assessment for
  2. The date, start time and duration of the assessment.
  3. You must be scheduling your test a minimum of three (3) school-days before the date of the test (weekend does not count - ever).
      • Mondays are the last day to sign up for a Thursday test
      • Tuesdays are the last day to sign up for a Friday test
      • Wednesdays are the last day to sign up for a Saturday or a Monday test
      • Thursdays are the last day to sign up for a Tuesday test
      • Fridays are the last day to sign up for a Wednesday test


FINAL EXAMS (held after the last day of class)

Students registered in Science and Math courses as well as some Career course will have exams outside of the regular semester.  Please take note of the following:

  1. Shortly after the posting of the final exam schedule, a MIO will be sent to students who have exam during the final exam period informing them of the sign up procedure and deadline.  
  2. Dates, start times and durations will already be created in the system. Start times are earlier than what is posted in the official Final Exam schedule and cannot be modified: 
      • Morning exams will begin at 9:00 a.m.
      • Afternoon exams will begin at 12:30 p.m. (or 1:30 for a 2 hour exam)
      • Evening exams will begin at 5:30 p.m.
      • Saturday exams will begin at 9:00 a.m.

All students are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity.  The College will strictly enforce a policy of zero tolerance for academic misconduct during online or in-person assessments.  Students who are caught cheating will face severe disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the College.

Cheating includes any dishonest or deceptive practice, such as: 

  1. Copying or attempting to copy another’s work;
  2. Obtaining or attempting to obtain unauthorized assistance of any kind;
  3. Providing or attempting to provide unauthorized assistance of any kind;
  4. Using or possessing any unauthorized material or instruments which can be used as information storage and retrieval devices;
  5. Taking an assessment, test, or quiz for someone else;
  6. Having someone take an assessment, test, or quiz in one's place.

As well, the following behaviours are not permitted during the exam:

  • Turning off your camera during the assessment (during remote exams);
  • Getting up from you computer station without permission;
  • Wearing headphones or earbuds (without permission);
  • Communicating with another person, except the invigilator.

The use of the following items while writing your assessment is prohibited unless permitted and required for your test:

  • Unauthorized materials such as textbooks, notes, etc.;
  • Cell phones;
  • Smart watches;
  • Any secondary computer/laptop/iPad, etc.;
  • Any other unauthorized device.

Academic integrity is fundamental to the Dawson community. It is expected that you have read and understood this above and will adhere to the principles of academic integrity while writing your assessment(s).
